Homeward bound, although some have found a new home here and would like to stay. I'm a little sad but I know that I'll soon return with another team of servant hearts in January. This has been an incredible week with an amazing team. So much growth and transformation. So much love and fun. My first experience as a leader and I could not have asked for a better team to walk with.
Yesterday was another beautiful day in Haiti. We spent the morning at Grace Church, sitting with the kids and listening to an incredible message from Pastor Wesley. Beautiful and powerful! Then back to the taptap for a brief stop at the guest house and a ride up the mountain for shopping and lunch. We spent some time there visiting with other missionaries and talking with the local artisans. Some bartering was done with the help of our awesome guys - Maxim, Jonas, Valerie - and a beautiful afternoon was enjoyed by all.
This morning some visited tent church again - rise and shine at 0545 and a short ride in the taptap. Energetic and powerful messages this morning from a few different men, beautiful praise and worship. A 15 minute walk back to the guest house and on to departure prep. We'll head for the airport in about an hour.
Haiti is a beautiful country with so much hope and love. I am so blessed to be a part of this team, this house, this organization. And am so thankful for the opportunity to serve with these amazing men and women so dedicated to serving and sharing God's love. Looking forward to more service here and at home with this awesome team and many more to come.
